On 25 and 26 April 2026, the DPV C coach course took place in Dresden at Ostrabeach. Players from Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia came together to expand their coaching skills and take the next step towards an official coaching licence from the German Padel Association (DPV).

The course was led by Yannik Mann, head coach of Hello Padel Academy Germany. On site he was supported by Roberto Schiwon and Yannick Schramm, who helped with the organisation, looked after the participants and were actively involved in the practical sessions on court.
The DPV C coach course in Dresden strengthens padel in central Germany
The DPV C coach course in Dresden impressively showed how dynamically padel is developing in central Germany. More and more players want not only to improve their own game but also to pass their knowledge on as coaches.
For the participants, the course was a chance to get to know modern training methods and learn the fundamentals of professional padel coach education. At the same time, it became clear how important qualified coaches are for the further growth of the sport in the region.

Theory as the foundation of modern padel coach education
A key part of the course was the theory session. It covered core topics that every coach needs:
- Planning and structuring training sessions
- Methodology and didactics in padel training
- Teaching technique to beginners and advanced players
- Error analysis and ways to correct
- Training planning and player development
- Organising private and group sessions
The participants gained valuable insights into the coaching philosophy of Hello Padel Academy, which is known worldwide for its modern training methods.

Practical part of the DPV C coach course in Dresden
After the theory, it was straight onto the court. The practical part was intensive, demanding and very hands-on. The participants regularly switched between the roles of player and coach, analysed match situations and ran their own training sessions.
Under the guidance of Yannik Mann, technical and tactical content was taught and applied right away. Immediate feedback from the instructors meant the participants could keep improving their skills.
Combining theory and practice made the course especially valuable and prepared the future coaches perfectly for their work.
